I live and practice as a birthworker on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, the Haudenosaunee, the Mississauga, and the Anishinabewaki Peoples.
As a doula, I recognize that reproductive justice is deeply tied to colonial histories of displacement, medical violence, and the disruption of traditional birthing practices. I commit to continuous learning, supporting Indigenous-led birthwork, and advocating for accessible, culturally safe care for all families.
I also stand in solidarity with Land Back movements and the liberation of all Indigenous peoples, recognizing that true justice means the return of land, resources, and decision-making power to Indigenous communities.
